Be Consistent

In life no one says you have to be perfect. Perfect does not always win the game or the day. What does win, in the long run, is consistency.

Consistency is boring

Consistency is not fancy

Consistency can be simple

If you look around at companies and people that are successful, I can almost guarantee that one thing they have going for them is consistency. They may not be the biggest in the industry, they may not be considered the best, but they will be consistent at what they do. They could have consistent customer service, like Zappos or Southwest Airlines.

They can be consistent in quality of food like Salt Grass Steak Houses.

If you want to get ahead be consistent.

If you are setting a goal to do something new or to change something. Do it every day. The good news is, you do not have to do it perfectly every day you just have to do.

A personal example. I want to improve my writing, so I write every day. Some days I can write multiple pages, others I am lucky if I get a few lines in. But I win every day and I am consistent. Over time, I know I will improve.

You can too!
